My first breed was Old English Sheepdogs and my first show was Brisbane Water Legacy Dog Show at Gosford in July 1978 we won our class out of three and got the opposite in breed (can you imagine I groomed him on a blanket on the ground I didn't know I needed a table and all the gear but they were happy days) and from then I was hooked, I had some beautiful OES over the years, Then I was lucky enough to be given a beautiful bitch Olivia, she was my pride and joy, in the beginning we didn't win much but that didn't stop us we went every where her first big win was Puppy in Show and from then on we didn't look back together we went on to win Multi BIS's and groups her name was "Aust Grand Ch Blunova Lady Olivia" she won the Old English Sheepdog Club of NSW Country Region Point Score in 1998. It is funny Her first BIS was under Lhasa Apso specialist Ms L Buchanan from Queensland.
I wanted to buy a Lhasa, and I meet Jim at Dalwood Show in 2000 and he said he had a puppy bitch for sale so needles to say that was Ginger ( Aust Ch Nahemja Ginger Rogers) she was just beautiful and when we showed her she was very clever and won Classes in Group and Sweep Stakes we had fun with her she was titled at 18 months we also brought Mr Darcy from Jim (Aust Ch Topette Will He Tell) Mr Darcy was a beautiful boy and won Baby in Show at his first show he had a great show career at his last show won Junior in Show. Ginger was in season and Mr Darcy got very busy with her and as a result we had our first litter 3 puppies one dog (Ruben) and two bitches (Delilah) and (Hilary) we kept them all and I still have them, When we showed them Ruben did all the wining the girls didn't get a look in, but its funny how they change and Delilha turned out to be the best she was always my husbands dog she loved him he would say come on little white dog and she would run after him wagging her tail, They were born 06/02/02 on a rainy morning, she was first born puppy to Aust. Ch Nahenja Ginger Rogers (Ginger) and Aust. Ch Topette Will He Tell (Mr Darcy) unfortunately she was shown only when she was very young, but I'm so glade I brought her back to the show ring as she went on to become the first "Olebob" Champion.
In this photo we have (from left to right), Hillary, Ruby, Riley (around the tree), Ally, Delilah, Ruben and Penny.
